Sunday Musings

What do you do when you don't know what to do? That is the dilemma so often we find ourselves in. At times it may be in an insignificant area of our life that really won't matter in the course of time such as, "should we go on an all-expense paid trip to Cancun, Mexico, for four days and bask in the lovely sunshine and dip our toes in the crystal clear water on a beautiful sandy beach, or should we just stay at home on an all expense-paid trip and dip our toes in the tub?" When decisions like this come up that are tough I just want to curl up in a fetal position and holler for my mom. What to do? What to do?

At other times the process of what to do is of utmost importance. Unfortunately God does not always speak in an audible voice to make things perfectly clear. So what do you do when you don't know what to do. Here are a couple of suggestions:

1. Make sure you are right with God
2. Step out in faith
3. Pray
4. Stay Busy

God can only direct an individual who is wholly committed to Him. If not all God's, you are not God's! Second, be like Peter and step out in faith. Often we have a good idea of what we should do but are afraid to actually step out. Third, sincere pray is of utmost importance along with prayer support from our friends and family.
And finally, stay busy. God will not use somebody who is just standing still looking around wondering what to do. He will, however, direct somebody who is already busy for Him and doing things. Get in the game and swing the bat don't stand on the sidelines holding the equipment. Is it easy - No. But hopefully this can help you do when you don't know what to do.

Sorry about the illustrations but I think you get my Point!

Ok, I do not know your situation at all, but I do know this; If I had an all paid trip to Mexico, there wouldn't be anything that could stop me from going. That is just me. Hope your survey helps you make your decision. Good luck!
